As of last month, the redi-GO man­aged to clock un­der two thou­sand units in sales. That by the way, is the redi-GO range that in­cludes the 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre mod­els. The Maruti-Suzuki Alto 800 alone reg­is­tered over 10 times that fig­ure. Dat­sun’s small­est hatch­back’s pop­u­lar­ity has ev­i­dently been lack­ing. The prob­lem al­though lies with fac­tors like brand pop­u­lar­ity, qual­ity of com­po­nents and own­er­ship ex­pe­ri­ence. Of th­ese, qual­ity has been a big­ger cause of con­cern for cus­tomers.

Dat­sun how­ever has burnt the mid­night oil to steadily keep up­grad­ing the redi-GO thus ad­dress­ing cus­tomers con­cerns. The last up­grade came in the form of the redi-GO 1.0 which brought along a tad more power along with re­vised in­te­rior qual­ity.
