Maruti Suzuki Dzire
It’s always a thrill to see a car go through a transformation, especially when new features stand out and are far better than its predecessor. That is the case with the Maruti Suzuki’s new Dzire. The sedan has gone through a major change and this includes the interiors.
The dash, for one, is all new and flaunts a twotone treatment. There’s wood inlay which goes well with the overall theme that its maker intended to create. Adding to it, is the fact that the plastic quality in the car is much better than the previous sedan. The center console now houses a large touchscreen infotainment system. The unit is the same as the one in the Vitara Brezza and the Baleno, and is feature rich as well. The system supports both Apple and Android Auto. The touch interface is simple and it’s easy to browse through its various functions. For tech enthusiasts, there is a small SD card slot on the top of the unit. This is for the sat nav though the maps have to be purchased separately. Below the infotainment system, sits the climate control system and it can be operated via the two toggle buttons. The car now offers a rear AC vent. The instrument panel is brand new too (and did we mention that the new upcoming Swift will have a new panel as well). The IP is informative and offers everything a driver would want to know. The other interesting element in our top ZDI+ variant, is the flat bottom steering wheel. Apart from looking sporty, it also provides a tighter grip. Lastly, this new Dzire comes with a substantial boot, at an impressive 378 litres. It can now hold four suitcases something that the earlier model didn’t have. Overall, we are loving it.
The quality in the sedan has vastly improved. The boot space is substantially large at 378 litres and can accommodate plenty of baggage
