One up on fuel burners
Like a bolt from the blue, Bengaluru-based start-up Emflux Motors displayed what becomes India’s first all-electric superbike. Christened the Emflux One, the motorcycle has been conceptualised, designed and built completely in-house. Putting aside the fact that Emflux is a start-up, the design and quality of execution is up there with international standards. Its electric powertrain helps Emflux One accelerate from 0-100kmph in just 3 seconds! Top speed is a claimed 200kmph, while range at a cruising speed of 80kmph is said to be 150km. The company is also planning proprietary WarpCore chargers at petrol stations. These can provide an 80% charge in 36 minutes, while a standard wall outlet will take 3 hours for a full charge. Prices start at
Rs 6 lakh and deliveries are set to begin next year.
