theme at the Auto Expo 2018 seems to have had significant resonance with commercial vehicle manufacturers. Most of the commercial commuter buses that were showcased at the expo focussed on green energy utilisation. And this is why the European e-mobility major was no different. Keeping with the theme, JBM Solaris Electric Vehicles Ltd launched its Eco-Life Electric bus series that are a 100 per cent electric. The company claims that the new Eco-Life series have the capacity to save around 959 equivalent tons of carbon dioxide and 350,000 liters of diesel over a period of 10 years. The electric bus is equipped with features like Passenger Information System (PIS) connected to GPS, Vehicle Health Monitoring System, Battery Management System and Fire Detection and Suppression System to name a few. Priced at Rs 2 crore, the company is in talks with the UP government for a tender of 10 Eco-life buses to ply in the Delhi-NCR region.
