Hyundai upgrades Elantra, i10 Nios
HYUNDAI INDIA updated its website and added the BS-VI version of the Hyundai Elantra in the diesel format, hinting at a launch soon. The South Korean carmaker had launched the BS-VI version of the Elantra petrol last year between Rs 15.89 lakh - Rs 20.39 lakh (all prices exshowroom, India). The upcoming BS-VI Elantra diesel will come in only two variants- SX MT and SX (O) AT. The aesthetics remains the same for the diesel version as the petrol format. Under the hood, the Hyundai Elantra gets a BS-VI compliant 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 113bhp and 250Nm, coupled with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
On the other hand, Hyundai India has also launched the Grand i10 Nios CNG variants in two variants: Magna and Sportz. They are priced at Rs 6.63 lakh and Rs 7.16 lakh and cost Rs 73,000 more than their petrol counterparts that retail at Rs 5.9 lakh and Rs 6.43 lakh, respectively.
Under the hood, the CNG variants get a BS-VI compliant 1.2litre petrol engine that churns out 69bhp and 95Nm, mated only to a
5-speed manual gearbox.
