Hero XPulse 200T

-

The Xpulse 200T has been a part of our fleet for only a short time, but in that time the Xpulse’s less popular sibling has proved to be not just a worthy street bike but earned the T moniker in its name. The T -- no prizes for guessing -- stands for touring, and even in the company of much bigger bikes with more displacement and (in some cases) cylinders, the Xpulse 200T showed that it was not one to be overlooked. In our recent trip to Dehradun, the Xpulse not only cruised the highway alongside the rest of the Auto Today long term fleet without hesitation even at early triple digits when roads permitted. In fact, thanks to the perfectly contoured seat I’d wager that the 200T was perhaps the most comfortable bike for your posterior. The high-set bars feel natural to grab onto and come into their own in tight spaces, but on the highway allows for a comfortably extended arm . The chassis is capable and light, and as is the case with the standard Xpulse, it begs for a more potent engine to really come into its own. The suspension set up on the 200T is another boon with less travel than the standard Xpulse. The 200T offers more compression and better damping and thus arguably a more stable ride especially at highway pace. Of course over the course of the last month, with lockdowns in effect across the country, riding the 200T has been out of the question, but it will probably be the first thing I do once things blow over!
