NBK to open branches in Saudi Ara­bia, Egypt

Na­tional Bank of Kuwait is look­ing to open branches in Saudi Ara­bia and Egypt. NBK said it will have branches in Riyadh and Dam­mam by the end of 2018. It opened its first branch in Saudi Ara­bia in 2006. The bank’s Egyp­tian unit also aims to have 60 branches by 2020, up from 43 cur­rently. NBK is also con­sid­er­ing open­ing branches in In­dia and Germany. The bank feels Egypt is a growth op­por­tu­nity as the coun­try is re­cov­er­ing from a pe­riod of in­sta­bil­ity.
