Union Bank to un­der­take busi­ness trans­for­ma­tion

Union Bank of In­dia is look­ing for a man­age­ment con­sul­tant to help it un­der­take a ma­jor busi­ness trans­for­ma­tion project to strengthen its busi­ness by proac­tive out­reach to cus­tomers, de­vel­op­ing re­la­tion­ship-bank­ing con­cept, ef­fec­tive credit de­liv­ery struc­ture and de­vel­op­ing a profit fo­cused busi­ness ap­proach to im­prove prof­itabil­ity. The bank has al­ready im­ple­mented sim­i­lar trans­for­ma­tion pro­cesses in the past in fields such as in brand build­ing, branch model, shift in or­ga­ni­za­tional struc­ture, im­prov­ing cus­tomer ser­vice, sales pro­duc­tiv­ity at branch level through a se­ries of fo­cused ini­tia­tives, im­prov­ing ef­fi­ciency in busi­ness op­er­a­tions, im­prov­ing turn­around time (TAT) in our key prod­uct & ser­vices of­fer­ings, cen­tral­iza­tion of credit pro­cess­ing of Re­tail and MSME, cen­tral­iza­tion and dig­i­tized work flow of ru­ral lend­ing, em­pow­er­ing em­ploy­ees and im­prov­ing en­gage­ment etc. The aim now is to build a ‘next-gen­er­a­tion dig­i­tally-en­abled Univer­sal Bank known for re­spon­sive, re­spon­si­ble and in­clu­sive bank­ing through cus­tomer cen­tric busi­ness mod­els and sig­nif­i­cant in­vest­ment in em­ployee de­vel­op­ment. The bank also wants to bring in in­for­ma­tion tech­nol­ogy en­abled struc­tural changes through ver­ti­cal­iza­tion of sales, cen­tral­iza­tion of credit, spe­cial­iza­tion in re­cov­ery and dig­i­ti­za­tion.
