Anshula Kant is MD, SBI
Anshula Kant has been promoted as managing director if State Bank of India. She will hold the position until 30 September 2020. State Bank of India now has 3 MDs, the other 2 being P.K. Gupta and D.K. Khara. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had approved her appointment recently after the Bank Boards Bureau recommended her for the position. The vacancy arose after B. Sriram, who was MD, resigned in June following his appointment as MD and CEO of IDBI Bank. Anshula Kant has been deputy managing director and CFO of State Bank of India since May 2014 and June 2015, respectively. She joined State Bank of India as a probationary officer in 1983. She has extensive experience in retail banking, corporate credit, cross-border trade and banking in developed markets - both retail and wholesale.
