Bi­cy­cling for Aware­ness

IN AN AT­TEMPT TO SPREAD AWARE­NESS AMONG PEO­PLE ABOUT THE ben­e­fits of bi­cy­cling and curb­ing pol­lu­tion, a group of 55 cy­clists from Ja­land­har un­der­took a 210-kilo­me­tre-long ride from Ja­land­har to Pathankot and from there on to Dharamshala. The par­tic­i­pants, aged 10 to 72 years, com­prised stu­dents, med­i­cal prac­ti­tion­ers, and in­dus­tri­al­ists, among oth­ers. Th­ese mem­bers of the Ja­land­har Bik­ing Club now plan to bi­cy­cle to Bhutan, a ride of 800 kilo­me­tres, ac­cord­ing to Ran­deep Singh.
