Hyper Performance 4
BMW MOTORRAD HAVE LAUNCHED THEIR LATEST TRACK TOOL, THE HP4 Race, a performance motorcycle crafted by a handful of highly skilled craftsmen at BMW Motorrad. The HP4 was announced last year and this year the company has launched the bike in a limited run of just 750.
Being an exclusive machine, the HP4 comes with a 999-cc, in-line four engine that produces a mind-boggling 215 PS at 13,900 rpm. The red-line of the bike has also increased from 14,200 to 14,500 rpm. BMW have mated this engine to a close-ratio six-speed gearbox to extract the maximum performance.
BMW have also introduced a carbon-fibre frame with monocoque construction and it weighs just 7.8 kg. New lightweight wheels, FGR 300 USD fork and TTX 36 GP rear monoshock, Brembo GP4 PR monobloc callipers with thicker racing steel brakes, carbon-fibre parts, and aluminium fuel tank are parts that have brought down the weight to just 146 kg, lighter than some WSBK machines. So, if you fancy yourself a road-going machine that is closer to a race bike, then we recommend you contact your nearest BMW showroom ASAP.
