Kawasaki Z1000, R and Z250
INDIA KAWASAKI MOTORS HAVE LAUNCHED THE LATEST Z1000, its better equipped variant, the Z1000R, and the smallest Z bike in the country, the Z250. At a small event held in Pune, the company introduced the 2017 edition of the Z1000, which will be priced at Rs 14.49 lakh and the Z1000R that will be priced at Rs 15.49 lakh, with the Z250 costing Rs 3.09 lakh, all prices ex-showroom, Pune.
All three bikes are now BS IV-compliant thanks to a retuned ECU, new catalytic converters and an evaporator apparatus. Both the 1,000-cc bikes now have better low- and mid-range delivery thanks to the retuned ECU. These two bikes also get retuned front suspension for better handling. The R variant gets an Öhlins S46DR1S monoshock, whereas the Z1000 gets a new linkage for more leverage. Kawasaki are offering the R variant with Brembo M50 brake callipers, gear position indicator and a special paint job.
The Z250, which wasn’t present at the event but was launched alongside its bigger siblings, features just one change: a BS IVcompliant engine. Much of the bike remains the same.
