Ducati Superleggera Comes to India

DUCATI HAVE DELIVERED THEIR most exclusive 1299 Superleggera to motorcycle enthusiast Vikram Oberoi. Ducati claim that the Superleggera is the greatest expression of engineering, technology and performance ever put into mass production by a motorcycle manufacturer.

In case you are thinking of buying this superbike, bear in mind the fact that the 1299 Superleggera is priced at Rs 1.12 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India, with only 500 units produced, all of which have already been sold.

The Superleggera is nothing short of a proper race bike. It comes with a 1,285 cc Superquadro L-twin motor that is derived from Ducati’s WSBK programme. It produces a mind-boggling 215 PS and 146.5 Nm, and weighs just 156 kg. Everything from the monocoque frame to the suspension, brakes, wheels, and tyres are highest spec components that make it a highly potent machine. Pity, there are just 500 of them.
