May I Go the Do-it-yourself Way?

Bike India - - TECHNOMAIL -

I am an avid Bike India reader and I look forward to the new issue every month. Of late I have become interested in maintaining my own bike (a 2017 Honda Unicorn) at home because I get no time to go and get it serviced by a mechanic. Please tell me about the basics of servicing so that I may do some research and get started. Purab Ranjan, Varanasi

It is always advisable to get your motorcycle serviced at an authorised service station for the simple reason that the trained mechanics there are quite capable of carrying out the required work/repairs and also have all the necessary equipment. Moreover, if you try to service your bike yourself and something goes wrong, chances are that your insurance and warranty might get annulled. In case you are too busy to take the motorcycle to the service centre, you may request them to pick it up from your place and service it for you. We are sure the service centre can offer a solution to your problem.
