BMW Motorrad R nine T and K 1600 B
BMW MOTORRAD HAVE LAUNCHED THEIR COOL MODERN RETRO BIKE, THE R NineT Racer, the base variant in the line-up, and the K 1600 B, a massive touring machine. The Racer sports a price tag of Rs 17.30 lakh, with the K 1600 B costing Rs 29 lakh, both prices ex-showroom.
The R nineT Racer is styled to represent the Café Racer era and it does a great job. The bike is powered by the signature Boxer-twin engine that the rest of the line-up uses, producing 110 PS and 116 Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with shaft final drive. The bike comes with conventional telescopic front fork, a steel fuel tank, two-into-one exhaust, and a singlesided swingarm.
Next up is the K 1600 B, the massive touring machine that was aimed at the American market. It features the 1,649-cc, straight-six engine that produces 160 PS and 175 Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox with a shaft final drive. The bike is styled quite sharply for a touring-focused machine, giving it an almost custom look. It comes loaded with features, notably the hard-case panniers, wide handlebars, adjustable windscreen, and those comfortable seats.
Both the bikes are available with a number of optional accessories that allow you to personalise your bike.
