TVS Apache RR 310
TVS Motor Company recently launched the Apache RR 310, a bike that everyone was waiting for with baited breath. This new Apache is attractively priced at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it quite a value-for-money proposition. This is the first product to be launched in India under the BMW Motorrad-TVS Motor collaboration.
The Apache RR 310 is based on the BMW G 310 R, albeit with a TVS touch. The Apache uses the same trellis type frame and the 312.2-cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor that serves the BMW bike; however, TVS have put in their own R&D to further develop the Apache RR 310 for the Indian market. The engine produces 34 PS and 27.3 Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike also features a full fairing, KYB tuned upside-down front fork, monoshock at the back, single petal disc at the front, ABS, and Michelin Street Sport tyres. The bike also features an 11-litre fuel tank and weighs just 169.5 kg. We were among the first to ride the bike at the MMRT and you can read the first ride report on page 42.
