TVS Apache RTR 160 4V
AFTER THRILLING RIDERS WITH THE NEW Apache RR 310, TVS Motor Company have launched an all-new version of their smallest Apache, the RTR 160, called the RTR 160 4V. Styled in a manner similar to the Apache RTR 200 4V, the 160 borrows a lot more than just styling from its elder sibling. The front end, fuel tank, mid-section, exhaust, and the rear suspension are all parts that we have seen on the bigger Apache, although they have been modified slightly to give the 160 a new look.
The 159.7-cc single-cylinder engine features an oil-cooler and enhanced output. It produces 16.8 PS and 14.8 Nm in the fuel-injected version and 16.5 PS in the carburetted one. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. Another major change is the introduction of a rear monoshock suspension. The bike has also changed in terms of ride quality and handling thanks to the revised frame and suspension. You can read more about it in our first ride report on page 76.
