Masimo brings out new device for patient monitoring
Masimo has launched its new Rad-97 Pulse CO-Oximeter, following 510(k) clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), to noninvasively and continuously monitor patients. Integrated with NomoLine capnography and noninvasive blood pressure (NIBP) measurement from SunTech Medical, the new device features Motion and Low Perfusion SET pulse oximetry, as well as rainbow technologies.
Rad-97 has a standalone monitor with a high-resolution, multi-touch colour display designed for advanced
customisability, connectivity and device integration. The device includes a rechargeable battery that lasts for about four hours and an option for tetherless device transport, allowing its use even without access to power and in limited space.
Rad-97’s built-in WiFi capability allows a wireless connection and transfer of captured patient data to hospital electronic medical record (EMR) systems. The co-oximeter is compatible with existing nurse call systems and also supports pointto-point Bluetooth connection with select devices such as thermometers, glucometers, and weight scales.
