Toshiba Medical has unveiled a new ultrasound system, Aplio i800, to allow quick imaging and confident diagnoses using an ultra-high-frequency transducer. The Aplio i-series’ 24MHz transducer is designed for high-definition musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging of superficial structures and dynamic muscle movements. Aplio i800 employs iPerformance technologies with high processing power that enables healthcare providers to see even fine muscle structures and tendons. The new ultrasound also includes a new beam-forming technology called iBeam, which optimises the beam efficiency for enhanced penetration to facilitate imaging of the shoulder and deep muscles with high-contrast resolution.
