KITS signs MoU with Taiwanese Science Parks
With the aim of augmenting relations with Taiwanese science parks, the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS), India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Taiwan’s Hsinchu Science
Park Bureau and the Central Taiwan Science Park Bureau. The tie-up will focus on enhancing research and development in the areas of artificial intelligence and robotics. The Taiwanese Ministry of Science and Technology has announced a future amount of Rs 20 crore to be invested in robotics research. KITS was established in 2000 as a society under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, to achieve the Millennium Information
Technology Policy objectives. KITS assists the Department of Information Technology and Biotechnology in enabling and upholding the Information Technology and
Biotech sectors in Karnataka, a southern state in India.
