Mede­wise, IAP launch mo­bile vac­ci­na­tion apps

In­dian Academy of Pe­di­atrics (IAP) in as­so­ci­a­tion with Kolkatabased startup Mede­wise Tech­nol­ogy So­lu­tions Pri­vate Lim­ited has launched mo­bile ap­pli­ca­tions for child health man­age­ment and im­mu­niza­tion in Vado­dara.

The apps were launched as a part of the two-day In­fec­tious Dis­eases and Vac­ci­nol­ogy Con­fer­ence with Essen­tials of Pe­di­atric In­fec­tious Dis­eases course or­ga­nized by IAP, IAP In­fec­tious Dis­eases Chap­ter and Vado­dara branch of Academy of Pe­di­atrics.

Ac­cord­ing to IAP, over two mil­lion chil­dren un­der the age of five die ev­ery year in the coun­try and an­other one mil­lion or more are dis­abled for life. A ma­jor cause is that par­ents of­ten for­get to vac­ci­nate the child on time.

IAP had pi­o­neered the Im­mu­nize In­dia re­minder ser­vice to in­crease vac­ci­na­tion com­pli­ance and pro­vide bet­ter care and cov­er­age to chil­dren all over the coun­try. With the launch of MedEPed and Mede­wise Kids Pro – the two mo­bile apps for child health­care, IAP is tak­ing child health­care to the next level by lever­ag­ing tech­nol­ogy, con­nec­tiv­ity and data.
