About 12 Km s from Son Prayag en­rou te Gau­rikund Kedar­nath is a place which has a spe­cial sig­nif­i­cance in mythol­ogy. A small an­cient tem­ple lo­cated in the Triyugi Narayan vil­lage of Ut­tarak­hand is not just any reg­u­lar Hindu tem­ple here. It is the place where the holy mar­riage be­tween Lord Shiva and God­dess Par­vati was sanc­ti­fied in the pres­ence of Lord Vishnu & Brahma. A spe­cial fea­ture of Triyugi Narayan tem­ple is a per­pet­ual fire that burns in its premises. It is be­lieved to be burn­ing from the time of the di­vine wed­lock. Ow­ing to this, the tem­ple is also known as Ak­hand Dhuni tem­ple. Lord Vishnu com­pleted all the for­mal­i­ties of a brother in the pres­ence of Lord Brhama, dur­ing the wed­ding cer­e­mony.
