Zopper raises $20 million

Zopper, a marketplac­e app for local retailers, has raised Series-B funding of $20 million from Tiger Global and Nirvana Ventures Advisors. The app connects offline retailers to the online community and offers price comparison­s across categories. The funds will be used to boost Zopper's presence across 30 cities of the country, hire people and develop technology.

Jugnoo raises $5 million

Chandigarh-based SoCoMo Technologi­es, which owns on-demand autoricksh­aw-hailing app Jugnoo and has expanded to add meal and grocery delivery service, has raised $5 million (~32 crore) in a Series-A round from Snow Leopard Technology Ventures and Paytm, with participat­ion of some existing angel investors.

Bessemer backs Vidooly.com

Online video analytics start-up Vidooly.com has raised an undisclose­d amount in a seed round of funding from Bessemer Venture Partners. The company plans to use the money to strengthen its product and team and acquire customers. The start-up offers a YouTube-intelligen­t marketing and analytics suite that helps content creators, brands and multi channel networks increase their views, build an audience base and earn more revenues.

IDG invests in Uniphore again

After receiving money from Infosys cofounder S Gopalakris­hnan a month ago, Uniphore Software Systems, Chennaibas­ed speech recognitio­n solutions firm, has received an undisclose­d amount from IDG Ventures. This will help Uniphore scale its core technology developmen­t efforts and expand its reach. It had received seed investment from IIT Madras' Rural Technology and Business Incubator, Villgro Innovation­s Foundation, and the National Research Developmen­t Corporatio­n.

Anandan backs city guide

Online city and lifestyle guide Little Black Book Delhi has raised a seed investment of $150,000 from a group of angel investors. The investors in this round include Rajan Anandan of Google India, Niraj Singh of Outbox Ventures, Sachin Bhatia of MakeMyTrip, Singapore Angel Network and Aseem Vadehra of Vadehra Art Gallery.
