TCS hires 12,500 US workers in 5 yrs; biggest IT job creator

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has hired 12,500 people in the five years to 2016 in the US, creating more than half of the jobs by global IT services firms in America, according to a study by The Cambridge Report. India's largest software exporter spent over $3 billion (~19,360 crore) on employment, educational and academic partnerships over the past three years in the US. The findings come ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US next week, where he is expected to explain to US President Donald Trump that Indian IT firms are net job generators there.
