Eicher Q2 net profit expands 25%

Riding on the growth of its high margin motorcycle business, Eicher Motors, which also makes commercial buses, has reported an increase of 25 per cent in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended September 30. Net profit stood at ~518 crore, up 25.4 per cent from the corresponding period last year. Revenue from operations grew 23.5 per cent to ~2,167 crore. Sales of Royal Enfield motorcycles expanded 22 per cent to 202,744 units. Sales of commercial vehicle grew by 13 per cent to 15,017 units. The company’s stock price closed at ~30,083, down 1.57 per cent from the previous close.
