Tork Motorcycles was founded by Kapil Shelke in 2009, a mechanical engineer with a passion for both racing bikes and electric technology The T6X bike can run for 100 km on a single charge

Its performance is compar- able to that of any fuel-powered 120-150 cc bike available in the market

It includes an on-board navigation system, cloud connectivity, full digital display and instant charge – features few other twowheelers possess

Tork is developing charging plugs, which will be installed in public places across all cities where the T6X is launched

The company has a strong racing pedigree with five prototypes (T1X - T5X) which have proved their mettle on international racing tracks, but T6X is the first commercial launch

Will benefit from subsidies under the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020, which aims to put 7 million electric and hybrid vehicles on Indian roads by 2020
