CANADA’S NOD TO NEW TRADE PACT

Canada has agreed to join the new trade deal that will re­place NAFTA. The US and Mex­ico had al­ready reached a pre­lim­i­nary deal in Au­gust to over­haul the 24-year-old agree­ment. The lead­ers of the three coun­tries will sign it be­fore the end of Novem­ber, af­ter which it will be sub­mit­ted to Congress. The trade pact will strengthen the U.S. econ­omy and come up for re­view ev­ery six years.
