CANADA’S NOD TO NEW TRADE PACT
Canada has agreed to join the new trade deal that will replace NAFTA. The US and Mexico had already reached a preliminary deal in August to overhaul the 24-year-old agreement. The leaders of the three countries will sign it before the end of November, after which it will be submitted to Congress. The trade pact will strengthen the U.S. economy and come up for review every six years.
