Oman Air offers extra legroom, baggage allowance and lounge access across all cabin classes

When booking an Oman Air flight through its website, one can buy extra baggage allowance, extra legroom and access to Majan Lounge at Muscat International Airport.

Extra legroom is offered on the front and exit row seats of the economy class.

A press release by the airline reads:“The new initiatives underline Oman Air’s ongoing commitment to improving the travel experience of all the guests by removing higher baggage charges, along with other initiatives.”

On January 9, 2017, Oman Air had updated its baggage policy, allocating more allowance for checked bag — 30kg to economy and two pieces of 30kg and 20kg to business and first class passengers, each. Allowance for an additional 20kg bag can be purchased; the rate varies as per the final port of arrival and flight duration, between OMR 20/`3,340 and OMR 35/`5,850 per 20kg.

Extra legroom seats are sold for an additional OMR 5/`835, above the ticket price, for flights to GCC countries, Middle East, Africa and the Indian sub-continent, and OMR 15/`2,505 for flights to Europe and Asia.

Passengers in transit or those taking off from Muscat Airport can purchase a three-hour access pass to Majan Lounge for OMR 10/`1,670. omanair.com
