Kullu to get air connectivity
In an effort to promote tourism in Kullu, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha, along with Union Health Minister J P Nadda, announced a flight service between Chandigarh and Kullu – a popular hill station in Himachal Pradesh. Flights will launch as a part of the carrier’s summer schedule next year, March 27 onwards.
Air India’s subsidiary Alliance Air will operate its 72-seater ATR72 aircraft for the 45-minute flight between Kullu and Chandigarh. The driving distance between the two is usually around seven hours.
The daily Alliance Air flight will take off at 8:35am from Kullu-Manali airport and arrive in Chandigarh airport at 9:10am. From Chandigarh, the return flight will take off at 9:50am and land in Kullu-Manali airport at 10:35am.
