The Stare Off by Revati Victor
Travel blogger and wildlife enthusiast Revati Victor has long been fascinated by leopards, owing in part to their elusive nature. This stare o between her lens and the leopard was captured at Nagzira Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra. "My extensive forays into the jungles of central India have at the most revealed fleeting glimpses of their rosette patterns or sparkling eyes before they've disappeared into the darkness. But owing to fewer tigers, the leopards of Nagzira are bold and brazen. This female led us down a trail to the watering hole where she sat for an hour, allowing me to photograph her at length with my Sony A7riii, never once taking her gaze o us.”
