OUR LONG-TERM BREZZA HAS PLENTY OF good bits and a few minor niggles too. For instance, the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel is pretty frugal, happily returning 17 km/l in the city and close to 21 km/l on open highways. But it could do with some more power, especially while negotiating steep inclines and highways.
Similarly, the suspension setup is sporty which really helps in reducing body-roll during fast cornering, but at lower speeds over bad patches of roads your family might crib about the bouncy ride. I suspect there are a few rattling bits in the door panel because of the road condition and firm suspension setup.
I like the way Maruti have equipped the ZDi+ variant. Being an iPhone user, I really make most of the Apple CarPlay which mirrors the phone on the car’s information display. Another useful feature is the reverse camera which is helpful in parking the car in the tightest spot.
We hope to take the Brezza on a long drive soon (apart from photo shoots and press conferences in Pune and Mumbai) and, hopefully, we’ll get to write an even more detailed report then.
