Hav­ing made an ap­pear­ance in the For­tune Mag­a­zine as one among the ‘World’s 50 Great­est Lead­ers’, Anand Mahin­dra is a man who needs no in­tro­duc­tion. He started out as an ex­ec­u­tive as­sis­tant at Mahin­dra Ugine Steel in 1981 and, eight years later, be­came the pres­i­dent and deputy man­ag­ing di­rec­tor of the com­pany. His other com­men­da­tions in­clude Knight of the Or­der of Merit by the French Pres­i­dent, and the Ra­jiv Gandhi Award for out­stand­ing con­tri­bu­tion to the field of busi­ness.

He has a pas­sion for sail­ing and pho­tog­ra­phy which is ev­i­dent be­cause he has a de­gree in film-mak­ing and pho­tog­ra­phy. Later on, he ob­tained an MBA from the Har­vard Busi­ness School be­fore en­ter­ing the fam­ily busi­ness.

Mahin­dra Rac­ing has been main­tain­ing a con­sis­tent mo­men­tum in the For­mula E Cham­pi­onship. Their new rac­ing car, the M4Elec­tro, will makes its début in the fourth sea­son from De­cem­ber. Af­ter the e-Ver­ito, Mahin­dra’s smaller all-elec­tric car, the E2O Plus, is slowly gain­ing pop­u­lar­ity. They con­tinue to be one of the lead­ing man­u­fac­tur­ers tak­ing a step to­wards sus­tain­able and green mo­bil­ity so­lu­tions.
