Sumit Sawhney CEO and MD, Renault India
Sumit Sawhney’s journey with the Renault Group began in 2012 as the executive director (sales and marketing). As of today, he has nearly 21 years of experience in various automotive markets all over the world. His duties in the past have included commercial operation activities, field operations, brand management, and investor and partner affairs. His current role as the CEO and MD has him overseeing the group operations and activities of upstream and offshore entities in the country as well as functional decision. He was able to set Renault India on a path to success within a span of three years.
This year Renault launched the Kwid Climber and a new petrol Duster with CVT. The 1.0-litre Kwid has been doing fairly well in the Indian market.
