goes for costal clean-up drive

Re­cently, Es­sar Ports and Es­sar Ship­ping took part in coastal clean-up drive at Mum­bai beaches, which was ini­ti­ated by the In­dian Coast Guard. The pro­gramme was a part of the ini­tia­tive per­tain­ing to coastal en­vi­ron­men­tal aware­ness on the oc­ca­sion of In­ter­na­tional Coastal Clean- up Day.

A large num­ber of vol­un­teers in­clud­ing students of var­i­ous col­leges, schools and NGOs par­tic­i­pated in the vol­un­tary work to clear the de­bris at one of the cityÊs largest beach­fronts in Juhu and Gir­gaum Chow­patty. Ra­jiv Agar­wal, manag­ing di­rec­tor, Es­sar Ports and other se­nior In­dian Coast Guard of­fi­cers were also present on the oc­ca­sion.

Com­ment­ing on the event Agar­wal said, „The aim of the event is to spread aware­ness about clean and green en­vi­ron­ment for the years to come.‰

„In­dian Coast Guard has been ac­tively as­so­ci­ated with the con­duct of the event for the past many years in all coastal states of In­dia. Es­sar Group is as­so­ci­ated with Coast Guard for nearly a decade in this ini­tia­tive,‰ in­formed Agar­wal.
