Sindhu Cargo Ser­vices launches ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tute for lo­gis­tics in­dus­try

In­dia's lead­ing lo­gis­tics com­pany, Sindhu Cargo Ser­vices, has an­nounced the launch of an ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tute (Sindhu Ed­u­ca­tional In­sti­tu­tions) on Oc­to­ber 15, 2012. The ini­tia­tive is prompted by the present sce­nario of lo­gis­tics in­dus­try in In­dia, where the sec­tor has been fac­ing the dearth of qual­ity man­power.

The in­sti­tute will be headed by JSA Julius, a re­tired deputy com­mis­sioner of cus­toms and cen­tral ex­cise. He car­ries rich ex­pe­ri­ence of im­part­ing train­ing to of­fi­cers of the depart­ment through Na­tional Academy for Cus­toms, Ex­cise & Nar­cotics. The fac­ul­ties work­ing/re­tired pro­fes­sion­als drawn from the in­dus­try for the­o­ret­i­cal train­ing. The in­sti­tute is sit­u­ated in a sprawl­ing cam­pus with state- of- the- art train­ing fa­cil­i­ties.

The train­ing pro­gramme of the In­sti­tute in­cludes ex­ten­sive class room and on-the job ses­sions with on-site vis­its. Sindhu Ed­u­ca­tional In­sti­tu­tions of­fer job place­ment ei­ther in-house or with as­so­ci­ates over­seas.

Ac­cord­ing to Sindhu Ed­u­ca­tional In­sti­tu­tions, the cour­ses im­part the­o­ret­i­cal train­ing in the class­room fol­lowed by real-time on-the-job train­ing. In ad­di­tion to this, students are of­fered ex­po­sure to prac­ti­cal ex­pe­ri­ence at ICDs, ports, air­ports & SEZs.
