Tuna Tekra Ter­mi­nal by De­cem­ber’14

Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd, In­dia’s largest port developer and part of the Adani Group, will com­mis­sion its dry-bulk cargo han­dling ter­mi­nal at Tuna Tekra in a record time by De­cem­ber 2014.

The meet, or­ga­nized by Adani Ports & SEZ Ltd to make this an­nounce­ment and show­case the salient fea­tures of the project, re­ceived un­prece­dented re­sponse, and was at­tended by more than 6065 rep­re­sen­ta­tives from al­most ev­ery ma­jor ship­ping agen­cies/lines as well as cus­tom house agents op­er­at­ing in the re­gion. “It gives me im­mense plea­sure to an­nounce that our dry bulk ter­mi­nal at Tune Tekra will be com­mis­sioned by De­cem­ber 2014, as it will be a game-changer for EXIM trade of the North­west hin­ter­land, on ac­count of its strate­gic lo­ca­tion, in­fras­truc­tural prow­ess and oper­a­tional ef­fi­ciency”, an Adani spokesman said. The com­pany had won the right to de­velop a dry bulk ter­mi­nal with a cargo han­dling ca­pac­ity of 14.112 MMTPA at Tuna Tekra, Kandla Port in Fe­bru­ary 2012 un­der a con­ces­sion agree­ment with Kandla Port Trust.
