ATMOI, BCHAA call on Ship­ping Min­is­ter

AMTOI Pres­i­dent Sailesh Bha­tia, along with BCHAA se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent Ashish Ped­nekar and Om­prakash Agar­wal, Ad­vi­sor, BCHAA, met the Min­is­ter of Ship­ping Nitin Gad­kari in New Delhi re­cently.

Bha­tia, along with other del­e­gates, ap­prised Gad­kari about var­i­ous is­sues faced by the stake­hold­ers in ship­ping/port sec­tor. Gad­kari as­sured them full sup­port to­wards res­o­lu­tion of is­sues faced by the trade and fa­cil­i­tat­ing growth of the lo­gis­tics, ship­ping and port sec­tor. They also called on Min­is­ter of Tourism and Cul­ture Shri­pad Naik who had dur­ing his ear­lier term as a Union Min­is­ter of State in the Va­j­payee Govern­ment held charge of port­fo­lios like Ship­ping, Fi­nance and Civil Avi­a­tion. Fur­ther, Bha­tia con­veyed that regular in­ter­ac­tions would be un­der­taken with Min­istry of Ship­ping & Sur­face Trans­port to stream­line is­sues faced in the mul­ti­modal ship­ping and lo­gis­tics sec­tor, and most im­por­tantly, take the re­quired steps to con­trol the trans­ac­tion cost and ease out the oper­a­tional dif­fi­cul­ties.
