Despite holding promise, the logistics sector in India remains mired in several complexities which have the potential of holding it back.
These include significant inefficiencies in transportation, poor condition of storage infrastructure, lack of efficient and robust supply chain and cold chain, a complex tax structure, low rate of technology adoption and poor skills of the logistics professionals and many more.
In this backdrop, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organising ’ Logistics Conclave-2014’ in New Delhi. The objective of this conclave is to discuss the opportunities and challenges in the different facets of logistics sector and also to deliberate on thinking the way forward.
A large numbers of delegates are expected to join this Conclave from Logistics service providers and 3PL companies, Freight Forwarders and Cargo Agents, Representatives from the trucking industry, Food Processing & Sea Food Companies, Pharmaceutical Companies, Warehouse and Cold storage owners, Supply chain solution & technol- ogy providers, Faculties and students from logistics institutes and other academic institutions as well as Government officials from Ministry of Agriculture & Food Processing, Ministry of Shipping, Road transport and Ministry of Railways.
