Tadesse Ti­lahun is the Ethiopian Air­lines’ Re­gional Direc­tor In­dia Sub-Con­ti­nent and will be sta­tioned in Mumbai. Ti­lahun joined Ethiopian Air­lines in Ad­dis Ababa, Ethiopia in Oc­to­ber, 2000 as a Flight Con­trol Agent in Flight Op­er­a­tions. He has served as Se­nior Flight Con­trol Agent, Flight Dis­patcher and Route Planner. He has also served as Man­ager Sched­ules and Net­work in Com­mer­cial plan­ning and Rev­enue Man­age­ment Divi­sion. He was ap­pointed as Traf­fic and Sales Man­ager, North­ern In­dia un­til his re­cent ap­point­ment.

Schensema to Hous­ton, Texas, to take the helm of GAC North Amer­ica Lo­gis­tics. Schensema brings 25 years’ ex­pe­ri­ence in ship­ping and lo­gis­tics to his new role as GAC North Amer­ica Lo­gis­tics’ Man­ag­ing Direc­tor, in­clud­ing ex­per­tise in in­ter­na­tional freight for­ward­ing, con­tract lo­gis­tics man­age­ment, and au­to­mo­tive lo­gis­tics, oil & gas sup­port and ship agency man­age­ment. Schensema has a pas­sion for phi­lan­thropy, par­tic­u­larly an­i­mal wel­fare, en­vi­ron­ment and un­der­priv­i­leged chil­dren. He will be re­port­ing di­rectly to Lars Heis­sel­berg, Group Vice Pres­i­dent – Amer­i­cas.

Jet Air­ways (In­dia) Lim­ited has ap­proved the ap­point­ment of

Cramer Ball as the Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer of the com­pany. Ball has al­most two decades of se­nior level ex­pe­ri­ence in the avi­a­tion in­dus­try and com­pleted, ear­lier this year, a two year term as the Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer of Air Sey­chelles, where he led a ma­jor re­struc­tur­ing pro­gramme that re­turned the air­line to prof­itabil­ity in 2012 and 2013. Ball, an Aus­tralian na­tional, is a cer­ti­fied ac­coun­tant and an ac­com­plished air­line ex­ec­u­tive with ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence in the avi­a­tion in­dus­try.

Global ship­ping, lo­gis­tics and ma­rine ser­vices provider GAC has ap­pointed Fredrik Nys­tröm as its new Group Vice Pres­i­dent for the Asia Pa­cific re­gion, tak­ing over the charge from Dan Hjal­mars­son, who has re­tired. Nys­tröm has been GAC’s Re­gional Busi­ness Con­troller based at the Re­gional Of­fice in Sin­ga­pore since 2007. Fredrik con­tin­ues the work of his pre­de­ces­sor to guide the ac­tiv­i­ties and ex­pand the busi­ness of GAC com­pa­nies through­out the re­gion in line with the group’s on­go­ing growth strat­egy.

Amit Me­hta, has been ap­pointed as the Area Man­ager –North & East In­dia re­gion of Malaysia Air­lines. He will be re­spon­si­ble for aug­ment­ing the air­line’s op­er­a­tion in the north­ern and the eastern mar­ket in In­dia. Me­hta has been work­ing with Malaysia Air­lines since 2007 as the Sales Man­ager- North In­dia re­gion and brings with him 7 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in sales. Me­hta will fo­cus on boost­ing Malaysia Air­lines pres­ence in the In­dian mar­ket, driv­ing global part­ner­ships and strate­gic al­liances. He will be com­pletely tak­ing charge of GTM strat­egy and sales op­er­a­tions for the North and East re­gion of In­dia.

Ra­jeev Nam­biar has joined the air­line’s man­age­ment team as Vice Pres­i­dent – Sales (In­dia). Nam­biar will be re­spon­si­ble for de­vel­op­ing and di­rect­ing the im­ple­men­ta­tion of the strate­gic, busi­ness and op­er­a­tional goals of the sales func­tion and will di­rectly re­port to the Chief Com­mer­cial Of­fi­cer. He will have man­age­ment re­spon­si­bil­ity for the achieve­ment of cus­tomer ac­qui­si­tion and rev­enue goals (pas­sen­ger sales) for In­dia points of sale/ter­ri­to­ries. Hav­ing 18 years of rich ex­pe­ri­ence in the field of sales with lead­ing in­ter­na­tional car­ri­ers, Nam­biar will be based in Mumbai.
