‘Pak­istan ­ In­dia co­op­er­a­tion in cold­chain sec­tor’

As per a news re­port, the Pak­istan High Com­mis­sioner to In­dia Ab­dul Ba­sit has re­cently met Food Pro­cess­ing Min­is­ter

Har­sim­rat Kaur Badal and said In­dia can co­op­er­ate in devel­op­ment of the cold-chain sec­tor in Pak­istan.

Ba­sit has said that Pak­istan is also look­ing to learn from In­dian ex­pe­ri­ence on cold­chains. “The idea is to see how In­dia has done it, so we can repli­cate it and then see some pos­si­bil­ity from pri­vate part­ner­ships,” he added.

“In­dia can co­op­er­ate, be­cause at the mo­ment, Pak­istan is work­ing on de­vel­op­ing cold chain for our agri­cul­ture pro­duce... that is one area where we can co­op­er­ate,” Ba­sit con­firmed in an in­ter­view af­ter the meet­ing.

He also said that Pak­istan is al­ready im­port­ing vegeta­bles from In­dia such as pota­toes and there are some fruits which Pak­istan can ex­port to In­dia, and she (Badal) is open to that.
