Emi­rates flies 313,000 tonnes in 2013

Emi­rates SkyCargo re­cently car­ried more than 313,000 tonnes of time- and tem­per­a­ture-sen­si­tive goods in 2013 on its freighters and in the belly hold of its pas­sen­ger air­craft across its net­work via its in­ter­na­tional hub of Dubai.

It un­der­lined the qual­ity of its Cool Chain ser­vice and the role it plays in bring­ing much­needed prod­ucts to peo­ple.

Cool Chain Pre­mium is de­signed to move vi­tal health­care prod­ucts, and of­fers ac­tive tem­per­a­ture-con­trolled con­tain­ers, pri­ori­tised ground han­dling, tem­per­a­ture con­trol in the cargo hold in all air­craft, cool dol­lies used on re­quest for tar­mac trans­porta­tion, tem­per­a­ture-con­trolled han­dling and stor­age, as well as on­line tem­per­a­ture mon­i­tor­ing and the ser­vices of an En­vi­ro­tainer provider. The air­line has trans­ported 55,246 tonnes of tem­per­a­ture-sen­si­tive goods over time.
