ACCD holds cricket tour­na­ment

The Air Cargo Club of Delhi (ACCD) has or­gan­ised a cricket tour­na­ment that is be­ing played from Septem­ber 13, ac­cord­ing to the rules laid by BCCI for T-20 cricket and with lat­est amend­ments sug­gested by the tech­ni­cal com­mit­tee of ICC, in Delhi will con­tinue till Oc­to­ber 31 with the league matches be­ing day matches; the semi­fi­nals and fi­nals to be played as night matches un­der lights. The night matches would be played on Fri­day, Satur­day or Sun­day.

The en­try has been re­stricted to club mem­ber teams and non­mem­ber teams from the Air Freight fra­ter­nity only.

The for­mat of the tour­na­ment has been de­cided on the ba­sis of the T-20 for­mat with each side get­ting to play 20 overs. The matches, con­sist­ing of a to­tal of 12 teams di­vided in groups of three, would be played on ev­ery sec­ond Satur­day and Sun­days. There are three groups. Group A in­cludes Sky­ways Air Ser­vices, Panalpina World Trans­port (In­dia), UTi World­wide In­dia, Con­ti­nen­tal Car­ri­ers. Group B in­cludes Celebi Delhi Cargo Man­age­ment Ter­mi­nal, Sun­rise Freight For­warders, Al­ba­tross Shipping, Asia Shipping – Maersk Line. Group C in­cludes Per­fect Cargo Movers, Sun Avi­a­tion, Lo­gis­tics Plus + Rahat Con­ti­nen­tal, Air Sha­goon Net­work-Zeal Global Ser­vices.

All the cap­tains were made to un­der­stand the rules of the tour­namnt at the ACAAI con­fer­ence room on Au­gust 28, 2014.

The mem­ber­ship fees in­clude all ground charges, T-shirts and track bot­toms for 15 play­ers, meals for 15 mem­bers for each par­tic­i­pat­ing match and all match ne­ces­si­ties as cricket balls, um­pires, scor­ers, etc. The fees ex­clude the per­sonal play­ing kit like bats, pads, etc. of the team.
