Ethiopian Air­lines has taken de­liv­ery of a third B777- 200LR freighter. The air­line holds the dis­tinc­tion as the only African op­er­a­tor of B777 freighters, which are per­fectly suited for the trans­port of Ethiopia’s grow­ing ex­port of per­ish­ables such as fruits, flow­ers, veg­eta­bles and meat. Saudi Cargo cur­rently op­er­ate 24 wide body 747F fly­ing into seven des­ti­na­tions into Africa (ADD, KRT, NDJ, LOS, NBO, JNB & KAN) and con­nect­ing many more from online points. These flights con­nect into hubs at RUH and JED from where cargo is fed into and on­wards to other points in the net­work op­er­ates. The air­line also has char­ter oper­a­tions into Africa serv­ing the oil and gas mar­kets and the re­lief air or­gan­i­sa­tions.
