Trade be­tween In­dia and the six economies of Gulf Co­op­er­a­tion Coun­cil (GCC) in­clude Bahrain, Saudi Ara­bia, Kuwait, Oman, UAE and Qatar has grown rapidly over the last decade. GCC ex­ports to In­dia have in­creased by 43 per cent an­nu­ally over the last decade, the high­est rate with any ma­jor trade part­ner, and im­ports from In­dia have in­creased by 26 per cent. Trade be­tween In­dia and Bahrain is ap­prox­i­mately US$1 bil­lion ev­ery year, which is nearly US$1,000 for ev­ery per­son liv­ing in Bahrain,
