To­day’s cus­tomer de­mands a pre­dictable, re­peat­able, re­li­able and sta­ble op­er­a­tion. This helps them to build their busi­ness sus­tain­ably and man­age risks.

Ter­mi­nal op­er­a­tors need to en­sure they have four key fac­tors in place: equip­ment, tech­nol­ogy, pro­cesses and peo­ple. It is im­por­tant that all are aligned with each other; the four need to work to­gether to achieve a strong per­for­mance.

Sec­ond, cre­at­ing good qual­ity in­for­ma­tion and shar­ing is a key. Ter­mi­nal op­er­a­tors and their cus­tomers should com­mu­ni­cate clearly so that busi­ness pro­cesses, in­ter­faces and vi­tal data are fully un­der­stood, an­a­lysed and im­proved.
