The NSDC is also work­ing with Saf­ex­press and other in­dus­try part­ners, us­ing in­no­va­tion tools to reach out to a large num­ber of peo­ple in dif­fi­cult ge­ogra­phies across the coun­try and thereby re­duce the cost of train­ing. Un­der this in­no­va­tion a ve­hi­cle con­tainer made of iron and steel, has been trans­formed into a mo­bile class­room. Each con­tainer is 40 ft x 9 ft and can be eas­ily in­stalled in ru­ral ar­eas and im­pov­er­ished ar­eas within cities to im­part vo­ca­tional train­ing through short-term, gov­ern­ment-ap­proved cer­tifi­cate pro­grammes.
