DHL’s new Green Dan­mar to re­duce CO2 foot­print

DHL Global For­ward­ing, the air and ocean freight spe­cial­ist within Deutsche Post DHL Group, has launched a new Green Dan­mar ser­vice. It is of­fered through Dan­mar Lines, DHL’s own NVOCC (Non-Ves­sel Op­er­at­ing Com­mon Car­rier), en­abling cus­tomers to se­lect a car­rier for full con­tainer ship­ping which is over five per cent more car­bon ef­fi­cient than the in­dus­try av­er­age.

Do­minique von Orelli, Se­nior Vice Pres­i­dent, FCL Prod­uct & Ca­pac­ity Man­age­ment, DHL Global For­ward­ing, says, “There is the choice of com­bin­ing this with DHL’s off­set­ting so­lu­tion and turn­ing con­sign­ment into a CO2 free ship­ment.” The ser­vice can be se­lected by cus­tomers us­ing DHL Ocean Di­rect FCL (Full Con­tainer Load) prod­uct.

Saf­ex­press part­nered with the 2016 edi­tion of pub­lic art fes­ti­val Publica to spread its Go Green mes­sage. The com­pany has been driv­ing its ‘Go Green with Saf­ex­press’ cam­paign for the last decade with an aim to de­velop a green sup­ply chain.
