AA Cargo: On­line re­vamp

The en­hanced track­ing ca­pa­bil­i­ties will im­prove ship­ment vis­i­bil­ity for all cus­tomers from book­ing to de­liv­ery.

Amer­i­can Air­lines ( AA) Cargo in­tro­duced new re­designed track­ing func­tion­al­i­ties on its web­site. It is de­vel­oped to in­crease vis­i­bil­ity into the en­tire ship­ping process and of­fer a more cus­tomised ex­pe­ri­ence. The en­hanced fea­tures in­clude: Live ‘at-a-glance’ sta­tus up­dates via colour-coded progress bars De­tailed flight, AWB and Cus­toms in­for­ma­tion Sim­ple ac­cess and nav­i­ga­tion to ship­ping his­tory Added sort­ing and view­ing ca­pa­bil­i­ties for logged-in users

Logged-in users can also sort their ship­ments by ori­gin and desti­na­tion, which gives them the abil­ity to quickly sim­plify and con­sol­i­date the in­for­ma­tion dis­played on their screens. “We gath­ered feed­back from our cus­tomers on the track­ing process and used that valu­able in­for­ma­tion to make needed changes; over­all it’s just a sim­pler and more user-friendly ex­pe­ri­ence,” said Eric Mathieu, Di­rec­tor- Cus­tomer Ex­pe­ri­ence, Amer­i­can Air­lines Cargo.

“Our cus­tomers wanted bet­ter or­gan­i­sa­tion, in­creased trans­parency into their flights and ship­ments, and real time up­dates from point A to point B. This is a much eas­ier tool to use Now, our web­site con­tains all of th­ese en­hanced func­tion­al­i­ties and more,” he adds.

CEVA Lo­gis­tics has com­pleted the im­ple­men­ta­tion of a new cus­toms bro­ker­age sys­tem across its US op­er­a­tion. CEVA ini­ti­ated the move to in­tro­duce state-ofthe-art sys­tems in this sec­tor. The com­pany did this fol­low­ing a man­date from US Cus­toms, which states that all for­warders must file their en­tries us­ing the Au­to­mated Com­mer­cial En­vi­ron­ment (ACE) by the end of Fe­bru­ary 2016. “Our im­ple­men­ta­tion with Car­goWise One, of­fer­ing full ACE func­tion­al­ity, is a ma­jor step for­ward for our busi­ness,” states Jane Ped­er­sen Sorensen, Vice Pres­i­dent Cus­toms Bro­ker­age and Im­port Ser­vices, CEVA Lo­gis­tics.
