What ser­vices does dnata pro­vide?

dnata’s ser­vice of­fer­ing en­com­passes the en­tire gamut of ground han­dling ser­vices, pas­sen­ger/ramp and cargo. In cargo, we of­fer spe­cialised ter­mi­nals for spe­cific prod­ucts. For ex­am­ple, we have an Ex­press Han­dling Ter­mi­nal for the ex­press prod­ucts, per­ish­able han­dling cen­tre for the tem­per­a­ture sen­si­tive prod­uct and im­port and ex­port ter­mi­nals to cater to the gen­eral cargo needs. We also of­fer de-con­sol­i­da­tion or break bulk ser­vices to our land side cus­tomers. How has the In­dian mar­ket evolved?

There is a long trade his­tory be­tween the UAE and In­dia, and In­dian prod­ucts are in great de­mand as there is a large and grow­ing In­dian ex­pa­tri­ate com­mu­nity in the UAE. The main prod­ucts by air con­tinue to be per­ish­ables, bul­lion and pharma prod­ucts, and th­ese come through in ever in­creas­ing num­bers. What makes dnata dif­fer­ent? I think what sets dnata apart are our peo­ple, our prod­uct of­fer­ing and our out­stand­ing rep­u­ta­tion for pro­vid­ing high qual­ity and cus­tomer-ori­ented as­sis­tance. How help­ful is tech­nol­ogy in mak­ing busi­ness easy?

We rolled out our cargo web por­tal five years ago. Tech­nol­ogy has helped us to com­mu­ni­cate ef­fi­ciently with cus­tomers, en­hance our prod­uct of­fer­ing and be aligned with the IATA ini­tia­tive of mov­ing to­wards a pa­per­less en­vi­ron­ment.

Ex­pan­sion is fo­cussed at DWC (Al Mak­toum In­ter­na­tional). Cus­tomers see at­trac­tive ben­e­fits from us­ing DWC–lower pric­ing, in­creased ef­fi­ciency, spe­cialised equip­ment for spe­cial cargo, and we are in­vest­ing in fur­ther en­hanc­ing its struc­ture, equip­ment, ser­vices to pro­vide a one-stop cargo of­fer­ing at DWC.
