Lay­ing spe­cial fo­cus on com­mer­cial driver train­ing for heavy mo­tor ve­hi­cles util­is­ing sim­u­la­tors to bring down costs. Em­ploy­ing trained can­di­dates for ware­houses for func­tions such as pick­ing/pack­ing. This will re­duce re­work and ac­ci­dents. Em­pha­sis is on han­dling MHE and this will im­prove ef­fi­ciency and ser­vice de­liv­ery. There is a need to have trained mid­dle man­age­ment and this will be done by in­tro­duc­ing place­ment linked job role ori­ented cour­ses in col­leges pitched at level 4 of the NSQF. There is a thrust on Port ex­pan­sion and Port-led growth of the coastal ar­eas and to de­velop the much ne­glected in­land wa­ter­way sys­tem which will cre­ate nu­mer­ous jobs.
